The only way to get out with out to much hassle is to be at the border late in the afternoon of December 29 2016, there are thousands of Mexicans that spend Christmas with family in Mexico and need to be at work on Monday the 2nd, since some of them have at least a four day trip back home to places as Chicago, Detroit, ETC. they swamp the border, this mass of persons returning decals and paperwork means that the agents collect and scrape decals, they do not look or read the documents, since you are travelling on motorcycles it will be faster, go to the front of the line once on the US side and maybe they will let you get ahead of some one to the US check point.
