- mittshelExplorerThank you both for more info. We will leave FW at Ponderosa and do our exploring. Betsy.
- cptqueegExplorer IIWarm Lake to Deadwood Reservoir and then down to Bear Valley and out to ID21 and on to Stanley ID is an awesome trip. You do miss the S F of the Payette (Banks -Garden Valley -Lowman) however. Washboard gravel all the way!
- caverNomadPaved road from Cascade to Warm lake and possibly beyond. I was there two years ago. The road past South Fork Salmon River CG marked 474 on google maps is paved. it's narrow and curvy so I wouldn't take a big rig down it but I'm sure someone has. I left my camper at the above mentioned CG. Past Poverty Flat CG on the map it seems to change to FR674. It meets East Fork Rd and I turned right to go to Yellow Pine. That road was gravel but wide and and well maintained. I had lunch (it sucked) and went down to Johnson Creek airport. I watched a few guys flying planes in and out and then went back the way I came. It's a nice area and I was there when the Aspens were turning.
- mittshelExploreryes. He said go from Ponderosa State Park over to Yellow Pine then down to Warm Lake and back. He also said be sure and go to Big Creek.
- hornet28ExplorerI looked at that route. I'm curious did the locals recommend doing a circle tour of the area? McCall to Cascade to Yellow Pine then NF-412/E.Fork rd back to McCall?
- mittshelExplorerA couple from McCall, ID just pulled in to the CG we are in. I got all the answers I needed and then some. Thanks to all. Betsy.
- pfidahospudExplorerOn my bucket list...
Yellow Pine Music & Harmonica Festival this year 7/30-8/1. Not sure when you plan to be there, but could be fun. - BarabooBobExplorer IIIGoogle maps satellite view looks like highway 467 is NOT paved. It does look like an interesting route though. My wife may think differently.
- LwiddisExplorer IIThe best roads in Idaho are not paved.
