- jerseyjimExplorerHow far "just east"? Nashville has a bunch.....
- RoyBExplorer IIWe always like to use GOOGLE MAPS search as we travel and type in the search window 'RV CAMPGROUNDS'... I see several RV places around Memphis...
Roy Ken - FarmerjonExplorerTom Sawyer RV park is on the west side of Memphis , actually West Memphis, AR but it's handy to both I-40 & I-55 as well as downtown Memphis. We have stayed there several times and highly recommend it. It's clean and safe.
- Dr_QuickExplorer IIIf you are headed east, I would consider Natchez Trace Stare Park east of Jackson TN. We have been there many times and it is one of our favorite places. All site are full hook up.
- jgoldenExplorerThanks folks, I didn't make it very clear.
Will be Heading west on I-40 and would like to stop a few miles before Memphis I did a search and found a few but hope to hear from someone who is familiar with that area. We could stop further back but will be just passing through. trying to avoid going through Memphis at the end of a long day. Thanks - padredwNomadOnly two possibilities come to mind and we have stayed at both. There is the Memphis East Campground which we have used for an overnight. Not bad as I remember.
We have also stayed at the Joy O RV Park which is between Brownsville and Jackson. I don't know of any parks between these two. Joy O is a simple, rural campground. Absolutely nothing special, but we have stayed there several times as an overnight because it was in the area where we needed to stop. - jgoldenExplorer

Sounds good, thanks - reddwarExplorerWe stay at the Agricenter when in Memphis Just bring I 40 to Germantown PKWY & south. There is a farmers market on sight, just a few miles south when you get to the RR tracks is the Germantown Commissary one of the best BBQ in Memphis.
The Agricenter is safe & on the east side of Shelby farm park which is a jewel. It was an old 300 acre P farm that they kept as a park. It is in Memphis but Gremantown is on the east side of the PKWY. They have the state BBQ cook offs at the agricenter, & in the park they have fish by the pound, you can ride horse's, they even have buffalo.
http://www.agricenter.org/ - jgoldenExplorerJust an update to my post.
We opted to stay at Memphis East. There are a small number of RV sites in the Trailer Park that surrounds the RV sites. Trailer park is neat and people are friendly, but the RV sites are heaved and rough and no one is there after 5PM. Also a little hard to find the sites. Thanks,
Just my thoughts. - FarmerjonExplorerThanks for updating, that's thoughtful.
