Cheap fuel in SC

Southbound or North through GA, hold off for until you get to exit 5 in SC, 1.67 for gas and 1.95 for diesel. Exits 33, 22 and 21 in SC much higher. Also about 20+ cents higher in GA. This us just north of the SC welcome center going north and the last exit going south.

There is a big Wilco on east side and an Octane food store on the west side, both have the low price. Parker's, a local chain with cheap gas recently opened a new store at that exit forcing the others to get the prices down, before this opened it was 20 cents per gallon higher.

I am assuming you mean I95 as there is also I85 in SC.

Cheap fuel is all around SC partly due to taxes but also because we have a nice pipeline taps which reduce transportation cost.

1.67 for gas isn't cheap in my opinion. Lately I've been driving by 1.63 and know of places below 1.60.

On I26 west bound, recommend something around MM 8 give or take a few exits depending on the gas stations moods. Exit 28 is also usually a good spot.

Cheapest gas in the state for last several months has been in the smaller city of Greenwood.

Don't forget, your Good Sams Club is good for 3 cent discount at Pilots. A lot of Sam's Club is 3-5 cents cheaper than nearby stations when it is for members only.

Correct, and I think you'll find the reason for the difference is lower gas taxes in SC, and it shows in the poor condition of their roads compared to GA and NC.

This is why you should use a planner to get an idea where fuel stops will be and GasBuddy to pick the right ones. If you run GasBussy on a PC, you can look at a "USA National Gas Price Heat Map" that will tell you to buy gas before you get to GA, FL. Don't even think about CA.
