That's right - the tour boat is history and so are the large buses.

It was run by several 50-passenger buses each day for many years, shuttling people from the Yukon Queen tour boat that ran from Dawson to Eagle.

We have done it twice in a 4-wheel drive but never took it out of 2-wheel. It is a nice way to spend a day. Very little traffic. Both times we took a picnic lunch and stopped on top of the many hills on the way. Plenty of scenic spots to pull off on.

Those roughly 60 miles (well, 60 from TOW HiWay, 90 from "downtown" Chicken...) take a good chunk of the day each way! We stayed at the BLM CG in Eagle - NOT crowded!!! :) ST
