Canada can stay closed for as long as they want. I want the USA to end all land crossing restrictions on June 21st. Then our border cities can start to recover and Canadian RV'ers can escape Canada.

For those in Canada, - they've just extended the closure to July 21.
Before getting mad at those in power (in Canada) and talking about cases dropping, here are the numbers of active cases per 100 people:

USA: 1.51
Canada: 0.03
Mexico: 0.16.

I don't know about Guerrero. Nation-wide the picture doesn't inspire confidence: Daily cases and deaths. Look at the period from May15 to June 15 - no signs of drop. Same in both Bajas, no drop and there is a distinct spike in the last month: https://datos.covid-19.conacyt.mx/.

Vaccination rate in Mexico is on the 12th or 13th place in Latin America, after Brazil and Argentina:https://www.statista.com/statistics/1194813/latin-america-covid-19-vaccination-rate-country/

Immunity doesn't last forever, likely less than a year. By the time we finish vaccinating 70% in the US and Canada, those vaccinated in February will already start losing immunity. In Mexico they will be playing catch-up for years to come.

Currently in Mexico the educators, medical personnel, pregnant women and anyone 40 and older has had the ability to get vaccinated. Here in Guerrero the numbers have dropped dramatically.
In my opinion the vaccinations here are moving along nicely, much better than in many other countries.

Just back from the store and we ran into one of the health officials. He stated that the 30 to 39 year olds will be receiving their vaccines very soon, before the second dose for the 40+ year olds.

I'm pretty sure that we'll see another wave this fall, in the US and Canada. Might not be as bad as the last one, but I'll be surprised if there won't be a wave. 20-30% of people will refuse to be fully vaccinated, and with Delta being more contagious many of them will contract it. CAN-US border opening is a political matter, they might partially open it this summer and then close again in the fall.

In Mexico cases have not been dropping for the last 4 weeks and trend a little upwards - their absolute numbers are not credible, they don't test unless you're really sick, but you can see the trend. Vaccination goes very slowly there.

....Mexico's inbound land border(s) never closed, right? Its unlikely it will ever close.

The problem is: Only US citizens or individuals physically in the USA can access Mexico via land crossings, driving (RVs). No other North, South of Central American or Canadian driver (RVer) can get (access) to Mexico. Flying in, yeah. Driving? Imposible en este momento.

Have you guys seen the PBS news report last night, interviewing Dr. Robert Wachter? Its about the "Delta" variant sweeping 72 countries...and a rather huge wave probable in North America late this summer and fall: here-->

On edit: Has anyone reading this thread tried to cross from Belize or Guatemala into Mexico in their RV? What was your experience?
