Crossing the border soon (Laredo)

Hola all,

Crossing the border soon for our 13th winter in Mexico. Looking for any recent border experiences or road conditions.

We'll take the central route via Saltillo, San Miguel, Puebla, Villahermosa, Chetumal and finally Puerto Morelos.

Last year there was so much construction between Cordoba and Villahermosa, we lost a day and had to spend a night at a flooded Pemex near Villahermosa.

Hoping for a nice quiet drive this year. Any up to date info appreciated.

Crossed the border at Colombia. All went well at the border, though they x-rayed the unit. Did not realize they have a machine there.

They checked our immigration papers again at km 21. Looks like the aduana part has been removed from there.

Roads have been the same quality as previous years.

We're in San Miguel now.

Rob.. we're crossing at Columbia Bridge on Sunday morning Nov 9th. and heading down highway 57. What day/time are you crossing? (Laredo or Columbia) We're headed to La Penita and like the ease of crossing at Columbia.
