Driving to Oregon coast need recommendation
Driving from Island Park ID to the coast of Oregon. How is Hwy 20 between Hwy 22 and Sweet Home for a 37 ft. MH with a toad. Looks like it goes through the Willamette Nat. Forest. Thanks for your input.

- Any of the Oregon state parks are worth visiting.
- Highway 20 from 22 down to Sweet Home is doable. However, be prepared for some sharp curves and narrow roads with little or no shoulders. We typically just take 22 to Salem. From there you can either continue on 22 over to 18 to Lincoln City, or go south on I-5 down to 34 and over to reconnect with 20 to Newport. About 20 miles longer on 22, but a much better highway with less sharp curves.
Ron - Hwy 20 is fine - one of the main east/west roads in Oregon. Enjoy the Oregon Coast which has some of the best State Parks in the Country.
