Epharta (sic) Pennsylvania...!

Spelling error catching drivers' eyes:

A PennDOT road sign on Rt. 222 in Lancaster County has drivers talking. News 8 has more on the mistake that caught everyone's eye.

Epharta, Pennsylvania.

  • Don't forget Blue Ball & Virginville..........!

On edit: This sign alone should dispel the notion that correct spelling doesn't matter.
  • I did see this on the news, an too boot the sign is like $800-$1200 to replace...ouch
  • Even the news people didn't get it. Not only is "Ephrata" spelled "Epharta", but the route number says "322" and the news folks said its on "222".
I saw a story on TV once about a road crew that had stenciled "School Crossing" on a road in front of a school, but they spelled it "Scool".
