IMHO, don't drive south out of Tahoe City or counter clock wise!!! It may be shorter in miles looking at the map but traffic congestion, 2 lane windy road at the hill near Emerald Bay makes this a no go for me if I am towing. On a coulple of the curves you can actually see the tail of your trailer going around curves.!!!
