Fuel Prices in Canada

Where I live the price of diesel fuel yesterday was $1.33 a litre. Southern Ontario, just across the river from Detroit, MI. It goes up and down like a toilet seat depending on the day or whether or not it's a holiday.

Last week gas was 98cents/L, diesel $1.27/L. We extract it from the ground right here and it's piped direct into the refinery which is also right here in Alberta.

Gas prices vary by area and can change twice daily. There can be a difference of up to 10 cents in a 5 mile area. Expect higher prices just before long weekends or holiday time.

We are in Waterloo region, Ontario and diesel is about $1.35 a litre Canadian $

That works out to be about $5.00 a gallon Canadian $...add exchange rate and it is not cheap.

My conversion was 3.78 litres to an American gallon. A Canadian gallon is different (4.5 litres)

Atlantic Canada fuel prices are regulated.
