Like so many others we do travel with a gun for safety. We want to go into Canada but need to know where we can store the gun on the Washington side until we return back into the states. Any ideas will be highly appreciated. Thank you.
Inquired at gun stores and no one would keep ours for reasonable price and we wanted a different exit port so needed it held and shipped. Registered it before going across and they asked a few questions at the border, looked at it to make sure it was locked, out of reach and unloaded. Canada is not unreasonable except you need to read and follow the rules and not say its for self defense.
I have deleted several posts that were off topic. The OP asked about where to store guns before entering Canada, any response other than to answer that specific question will be deleted.
We all know too well the direction that gun threads to usually end on this forum.
There was a mention of leaving all weapon bits and pieces behind. Ammo, mags, lock boxes...all will bring a more in-depth look-see at your vehicles. The theory is that where there is smoke....there is the likelihood of things that fire. Leave it all behind with whomever you store your stuff. As it is, you will probably be asked about your ownership of weapons...computers know all.

I have a Blog..about stuff, some of which is RV'ing.
Call/inquire FIRST with gun shops/pawns shops/ Brokers etc.
Confirm first..........have a plan.
Don't just stop by when at border expecting to 'drop off' your gun(s) (and all ammo/clips/gun cleaning supplies etc.) Not all places will store weapons.
