- Community AlumniThings are really bad in the western and northern suburbs of Montreal with hundreds of homes and businesses flooded. It's beyond what anyone has ever seen before. We've had almost daily rain for 2-3 weeks now.
We live about 35 miles from the affected areas and are not in any risk in our region.
Our camping season in upstate NY begins in two weeks and although they too have had a lot of rain, things are ok with a little more than the normal level of standing water that we usually see this time of year in some areas. - romoreExplorer IIWe are under flood watch here in the Okanagan valley of BC. Above average snow melt and a lot of rain have created a real mess. The Trans Canada highway between Revelstoke and Kamloops has been blocked several times so watch the road reports if traveling in this area.
It is not as bad as south western Quebec though, I can't imagine trying to deal with that. - Old-BiscuitExplorer IIIBest wishes go out to our citizens throughout the Mid-West also.
