Wondering what it has to do specifically with Canada or Alaska? Thought it pretty obvious to get to higher ground or near a shore with cold water & onshore breezes for cooler temps.

Eric, me son, did you work Expo 67 in Montreal, when......

& sure as shootin' you met Texans or fellow countrymen/countrywomen who were pulling a snowmobile and asked: "How far do we have to drive to get to the snow?"

Anyone want to bet me there are American residents believing that parts of Canada never warm up? While, they are sure Alaska has a midnight sun?

I wasn't in Montreal until 1969, so I sure heard about the snowmobile toaders.

We call our eastern provinces the Maritimes ..PEI, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick. Add in Newfoundland and Labrador and together they make up Atlantic Canada. It is almost like we don't call Newfoundland/Labrador a province. I guess that's one reason we hear most of our neighbours say ....we're off down home, without the h, LOL Why do we not call British Colombia Pacific Canada?

We often see southern tags in the NY Adirondacks in the summer.
