HOV lane I 75 in Atlanta, GA

I know the HOV lane requires 2 passengers but if you are in an RV towing a car can you still use the lane.
  • Yes I do it all the time. Safest place to be in my opinion. All the idiots are on your right side instead of both.
  • I don't have enough guts to do that while towing and probably wouldn't drive in that fast lane without the RV but that's just me.

I love that they had to add this note. You know at some point someone tried using the HOV lane with a dead body lol.

    Or, their inflatable girlfriend.
Happens all the time around DC, mannequin or inflatable, until they get caught.

Yes, I use it but you need to keep your speed up...usually 10 over the speed limit.
On the north side where 85 joins 75 you do need to slow down but not to the 25 mph for those making a tight right hand 270 turn to 85N...45 mph is probably a good speed for the HOV lane that goes straight and then merges with the 85 HOV traffic.
  • There was another thread either here or at the other forum and consensus was that as long as you have two or more passengers, it's legal.

  • Yes we do it every time we tow thru Atlanta. At least we've never been stopped anyway....heh.
