We are on our way home from Haida Gwaii tomorrow..presuming the ferry runs as per schedule. There is a gale warning up, so...we'll have to see.

It kinda starts from this Blog post, although there is one prior, but it may not appeal to all. We were in Masset for a reason. At bottom of each page, toggle Newer Post.

A fabulous time...great beaches and food. Large collection of shells and rocks. We must be over-weight. Anyway, if you wanna see what Haida Gwaii looks like, take a boo.

Thanks for the Blog! HG is mystical. Looks like you had a nice front row seat to the celebrations!
Yes, the road to Gray Bay leaves something to be desired! Just have to take it easy. We lost our ammonia system on the fridge going down there a few years ago. Still worth the drive though!

For those that are reading this and thinking of going to Gray Bay..turn hard right as soon as you come up to the blacktop from the ferry. The Gray Bay road is a loop road and the part to/from Moresby Camp is so much better. This I found out afterwards, of course. Otherwise it's 22ks of just s-l-o-w going. Even worse than the road into Chaco Canyon.

And yes..HG is very mystical, magical, serene..lots of adjectives can be applied. This was our second trip over..the first was with Panagea Ron and his wife, Anne.

Vic46...10 hours of sitting in the bleachers. Lots of eating and dancing..was a great day. And did I mention our dog went wandering from the RV when I was doing something or other..and ended up going into the longhouse, onto the floor filled with dancers. Someone pointed the dog out to Sharon, asking..."isn't that your dog?"...hahahaha...cripes. The dog came tearing out the door with a big s*** eating grin.

If you are into it, type my name on Facebook..all the stuff is on Public, so one can see it. there is a video too, I just haven't been able to put it to the Blog. Really low streaming strength here. It's suggesting 160 minutes..so, I'll do it from home.

Your visit to and photos on HG brings back fond memories. How was the "chiefing" ceremony?
