suprz wrote:US-17 is a good road with lots of 4 lane around developed areas. Pick it up from I-95 about 30 miles North of the Georgia border. It will take you to US-13 which will take you to Assateague. You can avoid most of Myrtle Beach by taking SC-544 to SC-31 to SC-9 back to US-17.
