Lincoln ne to pigeon forge tn best route

I am looking for the most scenic RV friendly route from Lincoln, NE to Pigeon Forge TN. Don't mind spending an extra hour or two getting there but definitely want to be on well maintained roads. Thanks for any advice!

    How much time do you want to take on the back roads? Trees are starting to turn here in the Smokies and the area is busy already (I live here). I prefer to stay off the interstates also and I just look over Google maps for secondary roads that go roughly in the same direction. Never not found a campground to overnight at, we use RVPARKY app to find them. It's just a more pleasurable drive off the interstate.
