Melrose-Twin Bridges County Road, Montana

We are going to be staying at Henry's Lake next month, and then leaving there and going to Melrose, Montana. The route takes us up to Ennis, then west on MT 287 past Virginia City to Twin Bridges. From there we'll take the Melrose-Twin Bridges County Road to Melrose - and on the atlas we have, it's shown as a gravel road. I'm wondering if that's the case. We don't want to have to go all the way to Dillon and then back up the 15. Has anyone taken this road and can tell us if it's paved or not? Thanks.
