can anybody traveling in montana especially roads to glacier give us a first hand report on the smoke.

We just drove to and from Butte, MT from Anacortes, WA last week. There was heavy smoke along the entire route. There were several active fires near MP 60, and MP 126 on I-90. - Here's a link to the GNP webcams,
- Smoke can ruin a trip into the West. This is why we stopped going in late summer.
We now try to travel in June. - If you are headed to GNP then Google "Glacier fires", lots of current info and photos.
