I-40 to Little Rock then US65 to Branson is probably the easiest route. Bypasses around Nashville and Memphis. US65 is a pretty good road, 2 lane divided most of the way.
Several places to stay in Branson. We did Shenanigans but will probably stay at Lakeside next time. Table Rock SP is nmice as well, just outside of Branson proper.
