In the fall I would take the northern route through Asheville, Knoxville, Nashville, then I-40 US65 at Conway AR. Beautiful scenery, lots to see and do along the way. In Sevierville we stay at River Plantation RV Resort. We like a small campground in Crossville TN called Spring Lake RV Resort. Outside Nashville is Seven Points Campground on Percy Priest Lake. Or there are plenty of commercial campgrounds where you can get satellite or cable TV if that's important. In Memphis, Tom Sawyer's RV Park on the MS River. It's in West Memphis AR. In Little Rock we like Maumelle Corps of Engineers Park on the Arkansas River. (they were widening the entry road when we were there last so I would check on that). We stayed at Shenanigans in Branson but would look for something else. Shenanigans was convenient but tight to maneuver into. Sites close together.
