Looking for best travel route with 22ft Class C from Naples Florida to Madison Ct. Worried about Tunnel and propane restrictions
I'd go up 75 up into Ga to exit 187 rt 83 ,take 83 up thru Monticello for about 45 miles,to I-20 East,stay on 20 to I-95
North on 95 to you get to exit 133 in Va
Go up Rt 17 around Warrenton,Va to I-66 to I-81
Continue on I-81 past Harrisburg,Pa to I-78..
Take 78 into NJ to I-287 North for 45 miles to Sufferin,NY
And go north onI-87 to Newburgh,NY to I-84
Go easy on 84 past Waterbury,Ct to I-691 to I-91 north to Ct Rt 9 South to I-95 South to Madison ,Ct
Great route, good fuel stops and campgrounds, and not many tolls
I-77 above Charollote,N,c has too much construction
C - DrewEExplorer III'd also use I-81, either going up via I-95/I-26/I-77 or via I-75. I-75 is longer and goes thorough more rather congested areas, but may be nice for a change or if you want to stop somewhere along its way.
- pulsarExplorerI don't travel that route; we travel up I-81 and use I-84 through New York. As far as propane, I believe it depends on the size of your tank. The Baltimore Harbor Tunnel and the Fort McHenry Tunnel have a no-more-than 10 pounds per container restrictions. The width restriction - 96 inches - would keep us out of the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel.
