Natchez to Abbeville

Not sure how far down LA1 you plan to go since you are heading to Abbeville. I suggest that once you get to US190 you go west on it then to Lafayette on I49. The area below Plaquemine was hard hit by hurricane Ida. For eating - pick a local restaurant and you won't go wrong.

We are headed to Palmetto Island State Park any suggestions?
Wondering about eating, sightseeing, the park, etc.

Will be spending the night in Natchez so it should be mid day traveling.
Just trying to stay off crowded roads and interstate. Seems like it might be scenic going down that way.
