Need advice. PA TO FLORIDA?

I81 I77 I26 I95 or
I81 I66 then US17 all the way, I like that way best.

I did a quick Google Maps search....from Myersdale to Savannah, and it offered two options (in addition to an airline...LOL!!) You can basically go west and take I-77 down or go East and take I-81 south.....or take I-81 down towards Richmond, VA, and then cut over to I-95 for the remainder of the trip south.

A lot will depend on what you want to see. I you are trying to get south as quickly as possible, it looks like western route down I-77 would be the quickest, and may also be the most scenic. I think that is what I would recommend, but I've never taken it, so can't really say for sure. Others will probably have better information.

That sounds like a great truck for the trip...the Hemi should have the power you need. Have a great trip!!

For what it's worth we have taken this route to Florida for years and find it to be the fastest and very RV friendly.
We run I-81 South from NY to take I-66 East near Middletown, VA to I-17 Southeast to pick up I-95 South.

X2 Very relaxing !

x3 This route avoids the steeper mountain passes. Lots of nice RV parks to choose from and once south of Richmond traffic thins out. Food and fuel stops at almost every exit.

Thanks for all the info. This will be our first long trip. We have made a few 4-6 hour trips but nothing more than that and nothing yet with this truck.

That would be US17 not I17 and if you have the time it goes to Savanna and is good road all the way.

Another question. Do u guys use good sam roadside assistance? Or AAA? I want to get one of them before we go. I have good sam camping membership

I have done all 3 of the usual routes my favorite is I81 to I77 to I26 back to I95. Pretty easy trek event towing I did it with a 32 ft TT. One spot of trouble is it is extremely steep on I77 at the Va-NC border.

Get Good Sam or CoachNet Assistance. AAA is very regional,sometimes bad sometimes good.

We prefer Good Sam, but CoachNet is also very good.
