I5 will detour around the Skagit River bridge this weekend, specifically Saturday night. The contractor has almost finished the permanent replacement span, and hopes to roll it into place overnight.
This last batch of rain was heavier south of Tacoma than further north. At least that's what measurements showed. There might have been pockets of heavier rain further north.
There was a flash flood at Stehekin (north end of Lake Chelan), affecting some business and long term parking. The North Cascades flickr account has pictures of that.
Down Rainier way, there were mudflows over WA410 - closer to US12 than the mountain. WSDOT has photoes of that.
Guess, they have had some major rains over the past few days there. We have the spin off effect just north in the Okanagan. Unheard of amounts of rain for this area.
