Would first 2 weeks of Sept. be good for the northeast,traffic wise, kids back in school and before the leaves change? Thanks Jerry

Very non specific post no route no dates etc.
But in order to help you I believe the traffic in Utica, NY will be fine when you visit.
Now if you could reciprocate and tell e what the traffic will be in Indiana those same two weeks I would be grateful

Where in the northeast? Are you going to see sites or for some other reason? There are plenty of places to see where the traffic won't be an issue, but if you plan on going to Boston it'll be crowed with all the students going back to college. Maine and New Hampshire should be a problem.

Kids will be back in school, but there's no way to predict traffic. Morning traffic gets worse because of school buses and stay-at-home parents picking up jobs during the school year. As far as regular rush hour traffic-that doesn't change as much-it's just always bad. What are your plans for the area? There are a lot of attractions that move to just weekend hours after Labor Day.
