We stayed for 4 nights at Pistoleros, who are still welcoming people to stay there. Checked with Hotel Arcos, and could stay there for 150.00 pesos a night. Only electric and water no sewer. But decided that we would high center or rip the back end off the motor home trying to get in. A terrible entrance way.
The highway from Nuevo Casas Grandes going north to Janos has 2 construction areas where you drive beside the highway for about 5 klms. I would not want to drive through there in the rain or shortly after as it is all mud and dirt.
We crossed into New Mexico at the Santa Teresa crossing,nice crossing took 30 minuets to get through.
