Oklahoma City John Kilpatrick Turnpike

I will be heading west on I-40 to I-35 north and have a ? regarding this toll road. Do you have to stop and pay at each toll booth (looks like 3) or pay just once at the first one?
It looks like its only $1.30 per toll for 2 axles, so $3.90 doesn’t seem unreasonable.

Thanks!

There's a bridge on this road, north of old Route 66, that's screwy. SLOW DOWN. A LOT! That sucker is not level, it will give you the craziest see saw motion.

Having said that, it's a lot easier to use this and bypass going through OKC.

I'm about 3 miles from it and drive it regularly.
X2 on the bridge, actually two of them, I'm down to 40 MPH when towing across them.

  • Thanks for the help. It’s worth the $2.60 to avoid city traffic.
  • On turnpikes in OK you pay at each booth. Most have a lane that lets you throw change in a basket that moves faster than the human served lane.
  • Just went through last week. There are two toll stations on the whole turnpike. I have the Pike Pass, so I don’t stop at the cash lane, but I think the $1.30 may be correct. I got a Pike Pass even though I only go through a couple of time a year because of the convenience.
