We arrived in Ketchikan yesterday in a drizzling rain but had a great sunset from the Clover Pass resort. We will be here for 7 days. Seals and eagles out the back window of the trailer almost ever time you look out. Wow!

Save some of that view for us! We will be at Clover Pass on June 4.

If you need fuel on highway 16 in BC...the Esso in Old Hazelton was 132.9 on the weekend...9 cents cheaper than the others. Smithers is beastly...just sayin.

Take the right just thru New Hazelton, over the Hagwilget Bridge...about 4k's I'd guess.

Gosh, I don't like this thread being a "sticky" at the top of the RV.net webpage. I don't look at the stickies often, instead I quickly scroll down to see what's new and who has been busy.

Thus, I miss new posts here. Wish this was a normal thread in with the other new postings so I don't have to remember to look at the top of the page!

Hello all, hope everyone is doing well!
We are currently in Prince George heading to Dawson Creek tomorrow. Will be looking for signs!
Stayed at the Discovery Center in Williams Lake last night. They have 5 or 6 rv spots. paved, fairly level and about 75 feet long. Not sure how many meters that is! There is also wifi at the tables outside the building. Sign in to O/N at the info desk inside.
We are currently at the Treasure Cove Casino, spots are not real level but paved and we can get wifi from the building in our coach. There are several RVs here.
Fuel prices: May 18, Hope Flying J 1.269 diesel, 1.369 regular
May 20, Cache Creek, Husky 1.349 regular
May 20, Lac la Hacke,Husky, 1.359 regular
May 20, Williams Creek,Super Gas,1.280 diesel 1.349 reg
May 21, Prince George, Fly J 1.309 diesel 1.359 regular
69.9 propane
Oh! The roads. They have been good so far.
Not sure where to stay in Dawson Creek, looking at mile 0 rv or nothern lights. Any recomendations?

We got to Sterling on the Kenai Friday in snow from Chistochina to Girdwood.

The road is very good this year, the best I have seen it. BUT....

The asphalt patches west of Watson Lake hide some potholes that are quite hard to see. We saw a number of crews patching the road, but they had not gotten to these yet.

The road west and north of Destruction Bay still has some road damage, but as of 16 May they were pretty mild, most can be done at around 30mph with no issues.

Fuel was $1.42 at Contact Creek, $1.40 in Teslin, $1.42 in Otter Falls, all per litre. Fuel in Tok was $4.64, Palmer Fred Meyer was $4.24, saw stations in Anchorage at $4.15, and Fred Meyer in Soldotna is $4.56.

Forecast is for summer weather in Southcentral.

Happy and safe travels.

It snowed in Whitehorse today. Stuck to the ground and cars too.

A friend near Braeburn (north of Whitehorse) had 2" yesterday. Likely more today too.

Although I just woke up from a snooze on the deck in the sunshine. No snow at our place west of Whitehorse.

BUT, quite possibly summer has already passed and we're into winter 2013/14.

Hope y'all have your snow tires or tire chains ... ๐Ÿ˜ž

:)Hi Sue !
I'll bet a lot of folks from way down here think your pulling their leg about chains or snow tires or the possibility of ever needing such things in the summer. Even though your neck of the woods is not as high as a lot of places in Colorado, Wyoming and Montana, your much shorter distance from the pole probably makes it as likely as in the Rockies for getting dumped on by gobs of the white stuff any month of the year. Back in an earlier life while in the employ of the Colorado dept. of Highways, I wound up hitching up the plows and putting in a long day on our 4th of July holiday due to 10 inches of the dastardly stuff in our little town "Walden" and upwards of 14 inches up on the pass over the divide.Did not stay around long though, but made for an interesting holiday that I shall never forget.

We crossed the border this morning at Sweet Grass. No problems! We are sitting in Cochrane, AB at the Bow River Edge Campground which is very nice. Will stay two nights and then head north to Edmonton. Going to put the sign in the window.

We just crossed the border in Sweetgrass today. Easy Peasy! Now sitting in Lethbridge for the night. Tomorrow heading to Okotoks for two nights to visit Calgary and surrounding area. We will be hitting Jasper and Banff on our way home in late August. We are heading up to Edmonton before cutting over to Dawson Creek.
Signs are in the window but have not seen anyone from our group. The signs do get some attention though...:W

Beautiful weather now after we drove out of the rain and left it in Montana.

Travel safe everyone!!!
