Overnight parking at Camping World in Fayetteville, NC?

Does anyone know if the Camping World in Fayetteville, NC allows overnight parking? We're planning an upcoming trip in December and I'll likely have to start after work somewhere between 4 and 6pm. I'd like to make it as far as possible and stop sometime around midnight that has electric hookups, at least and that I'll annoy the fewest people with stopping so late.

I just spoke with Camping World. They don't have any overnight parking spots per say, but the woman that I spoke with said that they have service spots (with electric). If there are any open, I'm welcome to use one. She recommended that I call the day that I'm traveling to see what is open.

So, I tried this last week. I meant to call while service was still open to ensure that they had a spot available but forgot with sleeping kids and all that jazz. I ended up calling about 10 minutes after the service area closed and I ended up talking to someone who stated unequivocally that the spots were dedicated to people who needed to stay in their campers while service was being performed and not for overnight travelers.

I called the Walmart in Lumberton, NC and the friendly fellow told me to park out near the restaurant and that security would be around to check on me. Though, we kept driving and ended up at the Walmart in Dillon, SC where the nice lady on the telephone told me "to just park out away from customers". Pulling in there were 3-4 other campers and a big rig. We slept great and left after fighting one of my slide outs.

I can also say that the Flying J in St. Augustine was quite the RV park when we stopped for fuel and food at about 7:15pm. All on the RV-side of the parking lot were easily 30-or so campers. The truck-side was insanely busy, too (which is why I went over to the RV side, to not take up a space for a driver who needed rest).

I am going to contact Camping World to verify. We stayed at one in Talahassee, FL in July. It was nice because of the electric hookups offered. And needed because of A/C!

I'm not sure of a Walmart overnight. My battery is pretty well crap; I'm not sure if I'd get a night of furnace use out of it. Guess I ought to test that here at home. Otherwise, that could be the ideal situation. I'd just have to find a spot to open slides because of the bunkhouse and overall floorplan.

I've looked into campgrounds up and down I-95. I know about traffic but I'm hoping being a Tuesday night, it isn't so bad. The problem is, I'm trying to make it to Orlando with just a single day off of work and then I would work from the campground when we get down there. (The joy and curse of working from home!) Just on the otherside of DC is a place called Kosmos Village RV park- just 12-15 transient sites in front of a trailer park. It worked well the last time we ran south.

I'm familiar with DC traffic. I'm hopeful that between it being a Tuesday (traffic is better earlier in the week) and close to the holidays (govvies taking holiday time off) that it won't be awful. I'm probably kidding myself! We won't make reservations so that I don't have to push on beyond when I need to stop. Worst case, we take 2 nights to get there and my wife drives the last leg while I work from the truck. Not the most ideal, but definitely not the first that I've done it.

The Lumberton WAL*Mart is sketchy at best. I would avoid it. Also, Lumberton is very close to Pedro. Pedro has a 10 PM cutoff IIRC. If you get slammed in DC and I95 traffic there is a great stop at the 171 in Roanoke Rapids NC. It's on the east side of 95 behind that big MB like show place. It's well short of Fayettville but may work for you. 95 is bumper to bumper down to Fredericksburg now after work, and sometimes further. May be as far as you can get. 24 hr transient pull thrus about $30.

Use the App RV Parky and type in Fayetteville NC it shows no over night parking there but 28 miles away at Lumberton, the Wallmart allows overnight parking.

There is a nice CG at exit 61 on I-95, Fayetteville RV Resort, a former KOA.. They have a number of pull through sites near the entrance designed for over night stays. You won't have to worry about disturbing other guests when you pull in at Midnight.
