Pa; Best towing route from Rte 81 to E. Stroudsburg?

Hi all. I will be traveling up Rte 81 with an overnight destination of East Stroudsburg PA.

My travel software is sending me 81 to 78 (which I am familiar with), but then US 22/PA 33/US 209 to East Stroudsburg KOA.

How does this sound for towing a tall fifth wheel?

Thanks! Irish:)

But are there any good roads in PA? :-)

Not sure, but they're ALWAYS working on them! Speaking of which.....they're adding an interchange on 33 in the Nazareth area. It shouldn't affect you, but just a heads up on some potential traffic.
  • Taking 78 to 33 as opposed to 22 to 33 is only a mile or two more.

Hi, I live in the area and have towed my trailer up to the Poconos many times. You can stay on 78 all the way to 33 north and avoid the traffic around Whitehall and Bethlehem. 33 is 4 lanes all the way up to 80 and 209. You should have no problems.

how much farther is it going that way?
