Places to overnight along I-80 and 84
Will be picking up I-80 in Kearney nb and taking it to Utah, then 84 up to Seattle, in early April. Are there good places to overnight along I-80 and 84 without having to get too far off the highway? ...

Uhhhh I84 does not go to Seattle. I assume your going to pick I82 to I90 in eastern Oregon just west of Pendelton? Up on top of Cabbage hill is emmigrant springs state park. About 40 miles after you cross the OR/ID border is a decent state park.
Yes, you could probably park in the back of most truck stops for the night. Truckers do it all the time. But its likely to be noisy with all the idling motors.
