Through the Wyoming portion, almost any community is small enough on 1-80 that the Walmart thing is a good choice. I great little quite RV Park is in Lyman (KOA) that we liked better than the RV Park right at Fort Bridger (historical site), but the historical site is kind of cool if you like that stuff. Beyond the fort and grounds itself, it has a "rent a room and a garage" on-site that was part of the historical automotive traveling thing (not for modern use). I forget the name, but we had an excellent Docent. It's kind of charming.
We use a helpful Ap called RV Parky for various "overnight" parking. It is pretty good showing which Walmarts (and lots of others) allow or don't allow, but still have to make certain. Always best to check with management, and obey city ordinance signing.
