Ponga fishing in Rocky Point
Has anyone rented a ponga or pongalero to take you out fishing from Rocky Point? Does anyone have any idea how much it should cost for a half day trip, or even a couple of hours? Any tips on who?

- Know about needing a license; we've fished Mexican waters for years and used to live in Ensenada with boats. We will probably just fish off shore; easier and cheaper. And I don't think I would trust the panguero if he said "you don't need a license to fish with me." That's not a slam, just probably the truth. They aim to please.

- To fish any where in Mexican waters, lake or ocean, you need a fishing licnce, the only time you do not need one is when you fish from shore........GET ONE.....

- I do not know if you need a fishing permit or the panguero or lanchero has the permit, I do not think that they will let you play with the panga, it is probably a big investment for the owner, rent the panga with the pangero and enjoy the pagaride.

navegator - Anyway, yes there are many pangas available for what they call half day fishing, it is fun but you will not catch a 100 pound gulf grouper. Like they say though "a bad day fishing is still better than a good day working"
