Ready To Go But Stuck (Roll Call 2015)

Been ready to leave for Alaska for a week now.... but stuck in my drive-way parking place. And the way it's raining now and forecasted to continue til next week, I'm not sure just when we'll be able to get going. I'll need couple of days after rain stops to dry out to be able to pull-out. I have about sixty (60) feet of soggy dirt to cross to be on good driveway.
Bad part I can not complain to much because we need this rain. Been so dry around here even the turtles were hitch-hiking out of here.
Hope to get out next week and look to meeting some of you up there.

Build yourself a wooden mat & move it along a few feet at a time. Got myself out of a soggy hayfield in Oskosh, WI. like that.

There has to be a reason why you don't have your trailer just pulled down the driveway to the road. Nonetheless...the drive will be there for you when you finally git goin.

Thought about pulling RV out with tractor, but figured why ask for more problems. And you are so right Mr Gary, the drive will be there when we finally do get going.

I had such a hard time not saying..'get the tractor'..hahahah...and I am so glad you did. That was a good laugh.

Real glad you saw the humor I intended. But of course when I mentioned it to the wife she didn't. Got to be that man brain being able to understand it.

Lay down two channels of gravel for these times. For that matter, pull it through, make a mess and put gravel over the mess when you get home.

Been "Fixing" to do that last couple of years, maybe after we get back from this trip I'll fix it then. But by then it won't be raining and I won't need to fix it. But Thanks for suggestion.

The choice is make the trip or pour a nice parking pad. Since this really don't happen that often, this much rain, think we'll just wait and make the trip.

I live in Austin, TX. Same here. It's so wet and muddy around here, but we need the rain as well.
