Road and Campgrpound suggestions

Getting ready to plan a trip from South Carolina to Pennsylvania. Gonna stop for sure some where around Maggie Valley, NC first. Can any of you tell me some good roads to travel on towards Pennsylvania and any good campgrounds. I would appreciate any input.

  • I could provide more help if I knew where in Pennsylvania you were headed to and what will you be towing and with what?

There are some big hills if your heading to the west side of the state
  • From the Maggie Valley area, you would drive to I-40 and go east, toward Asheville. Take I-26 to I-81. After that, it depends on where in Pennsylvania. I-81 goes through Harrisburg.

Although it is more of a destination than an overnight campground, we tend to stay at Shenandoah Valley Campground in Verona, VA because of the Middle River that borders the campground and the lovely waterfall. Our dogs love to play in the river at the waterfall.

  • Sound like you could use a good RV GPS. Search this Forum for suggestions.
We try to stay on the interstates as being as level as possible and generally in good condition (I know there are exceptions) and the fastest way to get somewhere.
