We took the slow drive up from Colorado Springs at the end of April, and arrived in Kenai the 15 of May. Very beautiful, and not crowded at all. A lot of places were still closed for the winter, so we boondocked in some beautiful stops. Being early, we got a great spot workamping for the summer, and have fished, biked, and hiked this whole area. We even went river rafting in Coopers Landing. We are looking to do some of the islands in July, then off to Denali and Fairbanks in August. Hoping to take the west route to Washington September and down the west coast looking for something warm and sunny for the winter. Need some ideas for California or Arizona. Thanks, Good luck
