Unfortunately this is quite common on Amazon. The high price listing is from an outside vendor. For several reasons these outside vendors put a high price on their listings. It's like selling on EBAY - a Seller could put a Church's book out there and put a thousand dollars on it. It won't sell but they can do it. One possible spamming reason they *may* be doing this is the listing will appear on the internet and the indexing spiders pick it up and record/index a backlink to the vendors site which may get them higher in the search rankings. More links to your site the higher your search engine results. Now I'm not saying that's why they do it but just one possible reason. Just ignore that listing. By putting a high price, they won't worry about someone actually buying a book they never intended on selling in the first place. Evil spammers.
I just got the latest Church's book and it's the 6th edition.
