Route 16 and 385 from Rushmore area to Deadwood

We will be caravaning with a group of 6-8 RV's on our way west to our Campvention in Gillette Wyoming in late June,early July. We will overnight in the Rushmore area and continue to Deadwood and Devils Tower. Are routes 16 plus 385 good roads for RV's travelling in a group. Are there any large parking areas in Deadwood that we could park 6-8 RV's to see the town on our way to Devils Tower.

    Roads are good to Deadwood , 2 lane. Try days of 76 campground on east end of DW next to the 76 rodeo. They might let you park there and you can get the $1 trolley just up the road into old Deadwood. They can then direct you over to 90 to Wyoming. Easy drive to Wyoming from there.

    There are large parking lots especially for RVs in Deadwood. The hwy you mention are excellent U.S. hwys so you will enjoy the drive.
