Route 219 New York

Hi folks. Just booked Allegheny State Park and coming from Ontario. The route takes us down Rt 219. Any probs going this route towing a 30 footer (bridges etc) or is it best to take the 90 to 86?
Thanks...and does anyone know how the sites in Cain Hollow Loop C are? We are site 99.
  • Hello, we have been invited to ASP in Sept. We have 40' 5th wheel with 4 slides. We drove up this past weekend to check out the sites. they look really tight and short. How was your stay here? and how was your site. We are planning on Cain section.
  • Thanks. We are going may 27 th weekend. I haven't been there in years but remember it being great
  • No problems at all, a bit slow going in Ellicottville, but it's a beautiful village to see. A few hills , but nothing that you can't handle . There is also a Native American casino near there in Salamanca NY . When are you going?

  • Rt 219 is an expressway (divided, limited access highway) from I90 west of Buffalo to Springville. Then it is 2-lane but should be no problem for a 30' trailer. I towed a 35' Dutchmen back to Olean using 219 without problems. I86 is very rough. I just towed my 30' Starcraft from Olean through Erie, PA and had to put stuff back in the cabinets when we stopped for a break.
