route directions advice
Hello, I am planning on returning to Branson MO again soon and was wanting some advice on a different route. I am coming from OKC, last trip I took the J R FREEWAY and bypassed some of Springfield, and ended up taking I-65 south to Branson . My truck did okay, note this was first time I pulled trailer up hills like this. I was doing about 50 at top of hill, ( kept my foot out of it, probably could ran faster) but did not want to tear up any thing.
I pulling a TT ABOUT 6000 LBS with 03 Chevy 1500 HD 6.0L 3.10 gears 8 lug axels.
While I was at c/g a fellow told me he took think HWY 13 and came in through back side Silver Dollar City and ended up HWY 76, said he had to go thru towns and little slower, but did not have the hills like 65 has. Has any of you ever took this route and what is like?
Any other suggestions?
