What are the usual fees to dump your rv tank and refill . We just paid $ 20 in Brandon Manitoba at Meadowlark Campground . We only have a class B and though it was excessive but had not choice because tanks needed emptying . In Ontario we paid $ 4 .

Most towns in BC have free dump stations, either by the town or some gas stations.
We have camped at that RV Park in Brandon and they have full hookups included in the camping fees. If you need to pay 20 dollars, yes, that's a bit much, but since you have a big motorhome, probably worth over 100.000 dollars, why complain about 20 bucks for dumping sewer? They employ people to keep the place clean, they pay for pumping their septic system, etc etc. I would not mind paying 20 bucks to dump my tanks when they are fullโ€ฆ..

Wow... I've never paid more than 5 bucks and usually I can find the free places. Most towns have free or cheap dump site at or near the visitor information building for RV use. RV dealerships seem to have them plus I've seen free dump sites at rest stops.

I guess you do what you need to do when the tanks are full even if it means spending 20 bucks.

Would you care to offer another site to look up dump sites?

Agreed. But I don't object to places that ask for a $5 "contribution". Somebody has to maintain these things!

Here on Vancouver Island some Canadian Tire stores have a free dump station. Some gas stations have dump stations and only charge if not buying any fuel. I have not paid more than $5 in the past.
There are web sites that list stations and cost.

Free dump with overnight stay. City park offers free dump station. Very common in Canada.

Most in Nova Scotia are charging $10 to $20 for use of their dump facility. They really do not want you coming in and dumping if you do not stay as they are not on city systems but private systems.

Good news is, and most are quick to point this out, Lot of Irving gas stations and Canadian tire stores have one installed and are free to use.

I suspect places like this, along a major highway, put dump fees higher to encourage people to stop and spend the night.

Almost every municipality that has a sewage system allows you to dump into their system, usually for free.

Wasn't too excessive...you paid it/you dumped

The city of Brandon offers a free sanidump. Brandon Sanidump

Another expensive dump site is King's Acres in Regina. $20 if not a registered guest. The petrocan at the south end on Albert street has a free dumpsite.
