I wonder what caused the engine to catch fire?
In August we happened upon a burned truck at a pullout on BC highway 97 150 km west of Dawson Creek. I watched a tow truck load the remains. The driver tow truck said the truck had been pulling a new travel trailer and pulled over when the engine overheated. The pullout was right beside the Pine River and the driver went down to get water; when he got back the truck was on fire. Some people managed to push the trailer far enough to limit the damage to it. Even the back of the truck had little damage.
I wonder why vehicles don't have an audible alarm for engine overheating?
