Sacramento to Yosemite

Shortest route is HWY 99 south to 120 east out of Manteca, winding narrow road but doable if you take your time.

Best but longest is HWY 99 south to 140 east out of Merced.

Most interesting is HWY 49 south out of Placerville to 120 east, winding and narrow but lots of California historic sites along the way.

I agree with the Bear II. If you want the easiest drive, take Hwy. 99 to Hwy. 140.
I have probably driven to Yosemite at least 80 times. Have a Great Trip!
