- robbiesgramExplorerHad one day in San Diego when DS graduated from Marine boot camp about 20 years ago. We took the trolley tour, and enjoyed it a lot. It stopped at old town, the zoo, coronado beach and some other places that I can't remember. You could at that time get on/off the tour at any of the stops without paying extra. It was a very nice way to get the flavor of the city when you had limited time.
Sorry can't help with the parking. - esyersExplorerWe were just there 2 weeks ago. We parked at the train station lot near Old Town. It's a short walk to the Trolley Stop in Old Town. There is also free parking all around Old Town.
We did take the Trolley tour. It was a good way to find our way around an locate places we wanted to visit. You can get on and off as much as you want.
Also, take a ride out to Point Loma and the Cabrillo National Monument if you can. The view was well worth the trip. - micpib1ExplorerWe did the "Duck" tour, I found it informative. JH
