Santa Teresa, NM Border Crossing?

We have come home (headed North back into USA)a couple of times thu Santa Teresa but never have turned in paperwork or stopped on the Mexico side. Does Mexico issue paperwork / TIP / Visa at Santa Teresa on the Mexico side?

Thanks, rocmoc n AZ/Mexico
  • Haven't done it in years but the paperwork was done south of El Paso on the 45 at Km 30, near Pemex 5716. After Santa Teresa, from Route 1, turn East on Route 2 to intersect the 45 north north of the check point. If you continue south on route 1 past the route 2 intersection you will also intersect 45 be SOUTH of the checkpoint.

Above info from Church & Church Traveler's Guide to Mexican Camping 4th Edition (2009)

If I recall, the Km markers were really strange until we were almost on top of it.
