Smokey Mountains

No one has mentioned the smoke haze over the mountains. Very disappointing to not see the beautiful mountains on the way from Tok to Anchorage. Hope they get the fire under control and clears out.

According to http://511.alaska.gov/alaska511/mappingcomponent/index the Parks Highway is closed (mile 317 to 344) south of Fairbanks due to smoke.

T'is the season, unfortunately. It isn't uncommon for highways to be closed for numerous days due to forest fire impacts.
