Surge protectors etc
Yea, I know that there were threads in the past (and I may have even started one) but technology changes. Saw this CHART of systems and started thinking.
In my 2 trips I never used a protector and never had a problem. Maybe just lucky. My rig isn't very complex but there probably is stuff that could be zapped. I frequently ran the fridge on gas to avoid that. Experience was low voltage not high. Folks I have talked to in the States say the hassle with protectors are that they alarm so much that they quit using them (kinda like putting tape over a red warning light in a car).
Maybe a friendly discussion on the need for devices in MX and the best candidates?
