Taking goods and groceries into Canada

Sorry if this is a stupid question - and I know there is a sticky post which points to an outside link - but the link itself is a little bit confusing.

Should I just declare everything I have in my fridge, and all cookies, pieces of bread, nesquik, and so on? Anyone that has done that, how did it go?

In this link, for instance, it says:

One one hand it says
no goods containing meat
but it also says
Meat and poultry products - up to 20 kilograms per person

Can I take my 2lbs steak from CostCo?

How about everything else? We have a grill, a TV, lots of clothes, a coffee maker, etc.?

Thanks!
